Sync South Bend Security Grant
The Sync South Bend Security Grant is an initiative by the City of South Bend designed to enhance public safety by supporting local organizations in upgrading their security infrastructure. The grant offers financial assistance to businesses, non-profits, churches, and other entities within the city limits.
Grant Options:
Security Installations or Upgrades: Eligible organizations can receive up to $4,000 for the installation or enhancement of security measures, including cameras, lighting, and other security infrastructure.
fususCORE Reimbursement: Organizations that have previously purchased a fususCORE device, which integrates existing camera systems with the South Bend Police Department's Real-Time Crime Center, can apply for a reimbursement of up to $2,900.
Eligibility Requirements:
The organization must have a physical, commercial location within South Bend city limits.
Applicants are required to complete a site visit with the city's partnered security vendor to assess security needs.
Integration with the Real-Time Crime Center is mandatory for grant recipients.
Application Process:
Submission: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds are depleted. Interested parties can apply through the city's official website.
Review: Eligible applications undergo a review process, after which selected organizations receive a grant agreement outlining the terms and conditions.
Site Assessment: The city's security vendor conducts a site assessment to determine specific security needs.
Installation: Upon approval, the security vendor installs the necessary equipment and ensures integration with the Real-Time Crime Center.
Support Meeting: Grant recipients are required to attend at least one support meeting with the grant team to finalize and close out the grant process.
